But there is NOTHING wrong with you! Call me cliche, but the things that make you different are things that make you who you are and unique. So the next time your haters get at you, just stop walking smile, and then walk again moving on. Never be anybody but yourself. I speak from experience. I've wasted a good 18-19 YEARS of my life just trying to be like who I hung out with. I'd say things that they would say, did things that they would do, went where they did. I basically shadowed them. It didn't get me very far...in fact, I just was hardly notice. Pretty much an epic fail.
So I say this: Never shadow anyone, because people wont know or like the actual you. They'll like the light coming from the person that makes you a shadow.
If you understand metaphors, that should make sense to you. I hope to God it does, because I suck at explaining things.
Finally, I had enough! I wanted to included. I wanted to be noticed, loved, all that fuzzy-warm shiznip. I just put MYself out there, said things that only I would say, did things that I wanted to do. Ya know, basically just.be.me. I can tell you I was ONE HUNDRED PERCENT MORE HAPPIER. Plus, people were actually more drawn to me. It was so fulfilling and surprising. Don't be afraid to shine people, be you. That's all your suppose to be in life-is you. So where am I going with this blog?
I'm saying is people are not always gonna like you. My little sister came home crying the other day because she wanted to dye her hair a brighter blonde. She went to school and two kids laughed at her and called her Barbie. I told her "You know what? Not everyone is going to like your style. Style is different for everyone. Who cares?" Are you gonna hold yourself down because you're scared of what people think about you? There's gonna be people who will hate you and love you, every where you go. Don't hide yourself because you're scared of other peoples judgements. If you know who you are, you shouldn't fear their judgement. "I don't fear your judgement, because I already know who I am."-Angela King. (Don't Google her, nobody famous, just my friend.)
You may feel at times like you are all alone, but truth is there ARE people out there who care about you. The other truth...it may not be who you expected or who you hoped for but there are people out there who do. And those are the ones that matter.
Have faith in yourself, and remember "Never Doubt Your Worth/Value."-Me
